Dear Potential Sponsors and Exhibitors,

We welcome you to be a valuable partner in the SOTCE 2019! While all inside exhibitor locations are filled at this time, we have room for more outside exhibitors as well as sponsorship opportunities.

Here is the history, information and overview of the Southern Oregon Trade Careers Expo:

The event, themed “Empower the Possible,” is at the Seven Feathers Convention Center in Canyonville on Thursday, September 26, 2019. There are no fees for exhibitors or attendees. We ask that exhibitors consider bringing a hands-on activity. We provide coffee, water, snacks and lunch to exhibitors.

The SOTCE is a different kind of career expo, promoting living wage careers (industrial, commercial, manufacturing, highway, professional and now have commitments from the aviation and rail arenas). The 10 acres of inside and outside exhibitors have been asked to bring hands on activities as they are able. The Southern Oregon Trade Careers Expo gives hope for improved lives through career opportunities shared at the SOTCE. This expo impacts lives by Empowering the Possible!

The First Southern Oregon Trade Careers Expo began in 2017 (click on hyperlinks) took place in Canyonville. The 2017 SOTCE had 66 exhibitors, 771 students and under 100 job seeking veterans and disadvantaged young adults from Jackson, Josephine and Douglas counties. We have heard many exciting stories of the impact the event has had on students (see first attachment) and employers. Due to its success Coos and Klamath counties requested to attend the expo in 2019.

At the Second SOTCE September 26, 2019, Coos, Curry and Klamath counties will join Douglas, Jackson and Josephine (expecting 1,400+ attendees and 80+ exhibitors). The two-part expo will be in Canyonville at the Seven Feathers Convention Center and northern lots with inside and outside exhibitors.

Part One (8:30-1:00 pm) - Juniors/Seniors from Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, Coos, Curry and Douglas county schools rotating thru about 10 acres of exhibitor activities inside and outside. Already have intent to participate from many of the six counties High Schools. Staff, students and bus drivers are provided water, snack and lunch.

Part Two (1:15 pm registration) – Job seeking veterans and currently serving military are not limited by county. Referrals from public and private agencies who are looking for employment or career changes from the six counties listed above (from DHS/OHA/WorkSource/OYA/etc. and including WIOA Youth Programs).

For sponsorship of the SOTCE you will be included in all media, both digital and print, as well as on any products we brand (like T-shirts for students). Your business or organization will also receive individual attention in special digital spotlights. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
